KEEP SUPPORT FOR STREETSCAPE PROJECTS AND GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS AROUND ROADS AND HIGHWAYS!!
Senator John McCain (AZ) has offered an amendment to the fiscal year 2012 spending bill that would eliminate several programs from the Transportation Enhancements (TE) program, including eliminating the Landscaping and Scenic Beautification portion of the program, which provides funding for streetscape projects and other green infrastructure projects around roads and highways.

Senator John McCain’s (AZ) amendment (SA 739 to HR 2112) to eliminate several programs from the Transportation Enhancements (TE) program failed this afternoon on the Senate floor. This means that, for now, the TE program will continue in its current form.
Thank you for contacting your senators and urging them to vote against this amendment that would have eliminated funding for streetscape projects and other green infrastructure projects around roads and highways and other critical transportation projects that landscape architects work on daily.
