NCSU’s SOUL Community Garden – Work Days & Accepting Plot Applications
Ever wondered if NCSU had their own community garden? It’s true, we finally do! Last year students got together and created SOUL Community Garden, NCSU’s first oncampus organic community garden.
Last year SOUL Garden had “grown an array of produce, held weekly garden workdays, partnered with CSLEPS and HavenHouse for community outreach and established SOUL Garden as a student group.”
Produce grown by the community garden will be donated to the Inter-faith Food Shuttle in Durham, NC.
Check out SOUL Garden’s First Newlsetter to check out scheduled Sunday work days and find more information.
If interested in renting a 3’x4′ plot for $10 a semester check out the SOUL Garden Renter’s Contract. Checks due April 10th!
Thanks to a team from Dr. Patterson’s STS 323 class, World Populations
and Food, for all their help.
