Design Build Studio Gets Underway
The second annual LID Design-Build Studio is in full swing. Here the class visits the site between Owen and Turlington residence halls with several staff members from Grounds and Maintenance, Campus Engineer, and Campus Landscape Architect’s offices. The students are completing their research and moving into the design development stage of the 12 week summer studio.
This summer will see the completion of one-fifth of the design-build master plan created for the Owen and Turlington resident halls on NCSU’s central campus. Part of the class’ product will be an interactive website for archiving progress and data about the design and construction process, as well as information about the design’s post construction performance. Keep checking in for details and a link.
